Our Story
Twenty years in, and it still moves us
We’re Ivone and Mario — a husband and wife who met here in New Jersey and built this studio side by side. For more than twenty years, we’ve spent our weekends inside other people’s most important days, and we’ve never once taken it for granted.
We believe in what a wedding really is: two people, and the families standing behind them — the ones who drove through the night or flew across the world to be in that room. It’s one of the only days a whole family is together and everyone is at their very best. Getting to witness that, and hold onto it for you, is the honor of our lives.
Two decades of this has shown us the best in people, over and over. It’s why we still love it, and why we’ve never wanted to do anything else. When you book us, you’re not hiring a company — you’re bringing in the two people whose whole life is built around getting this right.

Our photo and film teams have worked side by side for years. They know each other’s rhythm, who steps in, who holds back, where the other one needs to be. Nobody blocks a shot, and they’re setting each other up all day.

The worry I hear most isn’t about the photographs. It’s “are we going to spend our whole wedding being pulled away from it?” No. We build the photography and film around your day — never your day around us.
More than two decades of timelines means we know how long things really take: getting ready, a first look, family portraits, the drive to the church, sunset, winter light that’s gone by 4:30. We plan it so the cameras never run your evening — and so you actually make it to your own cocktail hour.
A first look? Entirely your call. It can buy more portrait time and protect cocktail hour — or you can keep the aisle as the first time you see each other, and we’ll build the day around that instead. There’s no right answer, only trade-offs, and we’ll walk you through both.
And the family photographs — the grandparents, the groupings that matter — are planned before the day, so no one you love is missing from the pictures your family will keep for the next fifty years.

When you book us, you book the owners.
Many of the largest studios in New Jersey assign their photographers and videographers from a roster. You meet one person at the sales table, and strangers arrive on your wedding day.
That’s not how we work. Your contract is with Mario and me — the owners — and an owner is personally part of your wedding. When we’re honored to document more than one celebration on the same weekend, your day is led by the senior team we’ve worked beside for years — with an owner there to set the tone and support them.

Mario leads our creative work as a PPA Master of Photography, a national and international PPA award recipient, and a sitting member of the Governing Committee of the World Photographic Cup — the photographer other photographers travel to Imaging USA and B&H Photo to learn from. I look after the planning, the communication, and every promise we make to you along the way. Together with the artists we’ve trained and trusted for years, we bring calm, experience, and genuine joy to every wedding we’re part of.

We carry professional liability coverage and provide the Certificate of Insurance your venue requires — usually before they even ask.
Multi-camera coverage
Multiple photo and film angles, so your vows and your first kiss never depend on one lens pointing the right way.
Backup everything
Every photo and every second of film exists in at least two places from the moment it’s captured — so a single lost or corrupted card can never cost you a memory.

Your contract is with Mario and me, not a roster — and an owner is personally part of your wedding.

How much does a wedding photographer cost in NJ?
Our wedding photography begins at $2,750 for the Digital collection (two photographers, six hours of coverage, and a full edited gallery), and our wedding film begins at $2,900 for the Essential collection (full ceremony and reception coverage). Book photography and film together as one team and receive a complimentary Video Book (a $350 value) .
A 30% retainer reserves your date, 50% is due three months before the wedding, and the final 20% on delivery.
Do you photograph and film weddings with the same team?
Yes. MC Productions has provided wedding photography and cinematography in-house since 2003. Your photographer and cinematographer plan your timeline together, which means fewer interruptions, no competing direction, and one consistent look across your images and your film.
Will the owners actually be at our wedding, or do you send someone else?
Your contract is directly with the owners, Mario and Ivone Cornejo, and an owner is personally part of every wedding we photograph and film. Unlike larger studios that assign crews from a roster, our weddings are led by us and our senior in-house team — the people you meet are the people responsible for your day.
How many hours of coverage do we need?
Most complete wedding stories need eight to ten hours. Eight covers getting ready through the first 45 minutes of dancing at a typical NJ venue. Ten protects you if you have a church ceremony at a separate location, a large family, or a late exit.
When do we receive our photos and film?
Your edited photo gallery arrives in about 2 to 4 weeks. Your wedding film takes 9 to 15 weeks — summer weddings sit at the longer end, because that’s when everyone marries, and I’d rather you know that honestly now than wonder about it in August. Album design begins once you’ve chosen your favorite images.
What's included in our wedding film?

Do we get the raw footage or our unedited photos?
You receive a full gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution photographs with printing rights — the finished work, not a folder of unsorted files. Raw, unedited video footage can be added on request.
Can we choose our music — and will the video get muted on social media?
Your music, your call. Choose your own songs, or we’ll set your films to royalty-free music we select — the royalty-free route is the one that won’t get muted or pulled down when you share it online. Either way, we ask for your input on the Highlight.
Can we see a full wedding gallery and a full film — not just highlights?
Yes, and we’d encourage it. Highlights are easy to make look good; a whole day is the real test. Our Complete Wedding Stories show entire weddings from getting ready to the last dance, with the film included, so you can see the quality holds start to finish — not just in the ten best frames.
How do you handle dark reception rooms or candlelit ceremonies?
This is where experience shows. After more than two decades in New Jersey’s ballrooms — and as a PPA Master of Photography — Mario lights for the mood of the room, not against it. Your candlelit ceremony still looks like candlelight, and your reception still looks like the party it was: cleanly exposed, never washed out.
What's the difference between the Screen Album and the Video Book?
The Screen Album is a printed heirloom album with a screen built into the cover that plays your wedding film. The Video Book is a smaller standalone piece — open it and your film starts. Many couples own both; they do different things.
What happens if someone gets sick, or equipment fails?
We’re a real team, not a single freelancer — and we plan for the day going sideways so you never have to. Every wedding is covered by professional backup camera bodies and redundant gear, and our own staff can step in for one another. Peace of mind is part of what you’re hiring.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes. We’ve photographed and filmed weddings in Italy, Ecuador, and across the United States, in addition to New Jersey and New York.
