Stephanie & Stephen’s Elegant Wedding at Florentine Gardens
Stephanie and Stephen’s wedding day at Florentine Gardens was filled with elegance, emotion, and the kind of meaningful details that make a celebration feel deeply personal.
Their day was planned with intention from the beginning. Both Stephanie and Stephen got ready at Florentine Gardens, allowing the full story of the day to unfold in one beautiful location. With a black-tie optional style, soft light blue bridesmaid dresses, white and gold invitation details, and florals filled with mostly white blooms and touches of blue hydrangeas, the wedding carried a timeless, romantic feeling from start to finish.
But what made this day especially meaningful was not only how beautiful everything looked. It was the heart behind it.
A Love Story Built on Support, Family, and Deep Connection
Stephanie and Stephen were introduced through Stephen’s cousin, Lexie, who had become one of Stephanie’s close friends in high school. Years later, after college and during a season when life felt uncertain for both of them, Stephanie and Stephen had an honest conversation at a family gathering.
That conversation became the beginning of something lasting.
Their relationship is described as simple, mature, and deeply loving. They are homebodies at heart, happiest with takeout, family dinners, cozy nights in, and time spent with the people who matter most. Their bond is rooted in emotional support, shared values, and the comfort of knowing they do not have to face life alone.
Stephanie shared that one of her favorite things about Stephen is the way he listens, supports her, and helps her work through whatever she is feeling with empathy and understanding. Stephen shared that his favorite thing about Stephanie is the way she loves and cares for him, always has his back, and allows him to be fully himself.
That kind of love was visible throughout their wedding day.
A Private First Look and Personal Vows
One of Stephanie and Stephen’s most important requests was to keep their first look private. They wanted a quiet moment together, away from the eyes of family and guests, where they could truly take in the day and each other.
Their private first look gave them the space to slow down before the ceremony, breathe together, and share the emotional weight of the moment before the celebration began.
They also planned to share their vows privately, which added another deeply personal layer to their wedding story. For a couple whose relationship is built on emotional honesty and support, this was such a fitting choice.
As photographers and filmmakers, these are the moments we love preserving because they are not only beautiful visually — they reveal the relationship behind the celebration.
A Meaningful Ceremony at Florentine Gardens
Stephanie was especially excited for the ceremony: the doors opening, seeing her closest friends and family, and seeing Stephen waiting at the end.
Their ceremony at Florentine Gardens was short, heartfelt, and surrounded by the people they love most. With guests arriving in the evening, the day naturally moved from quiet anticipation into celebration.
These details mattered because this was not just about taking formal portraits. It was about documenting the people who have shaped their lives and supported their journey.
Elegant Blue and White Wedding Details
Stephanie and Stephen’s wedding design was classic and soft, with a beautiful blue and white palette.
The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses, while the floral design featured mostly white florals with touches of blue hydrangeas in the bouquets and centerpieces. Their invitations brought in white and gold details, giving the day a refined and elegant feel.
The combination of soft blue, white florals, and the modern atmosphere of Florentine Gardens created a polished look that still felt warm and personal.
Portraits, Family, and Bridal Party Moments
Stephanie and Stephen planned for portraits around the gardens, weather permitting, along with additional photo opportunities in the front lobby and ceremony room.
Their bridal party brought great energy to the day while still keeping the celebration intimate and organized. Because Stephanie and Stephen chose a first look, we were able to create space for portraits before the ceremony while still protecting the flow of the evening. This helped them move into the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception without feeling rushed.
A Reception Focused on Joy, Food, and Dancing
After the ceremony, guests moved into cocktail hour and the evening celebration began. Stephen was especially excited about cocktail hour and the amazing food Florentine Gardens is known for, while Stephanie was looking forward to dancing, celebrating, and enjoying the party she had worked so hard to plan.
The reception continued until midnight, giving everyone plenty of time to celebrate.
Stephanie also wanted to make sure they captured group photos with different groups of friends and family during the reception. These are often some of the most meaningful images because they preserve not only the formal parts of the day, but also the friendships, energy, and real connections surrounding the couple.
Honoring Loved Ones
One of the most meaningful parts of Stephanie and Stephen’s story is the way they planned to honor loved ones who could not physically be present.
For their wedding day, Stephanie wanted to find a way to incorporate her dad, as well as their grandparents, through meaningful details such as photos, a ceremony remembrance.
These quiet tributes are what make a wedding day feel connected to the full story of a family — past, present, and future.
A Wedding Day Filled With Meaning
Stephanie and Stephen wanted their wedding photos and video to help them feel happy, beautiful, confident, and deeply connected to the love they share.
More than anything, they wanted their wedding imagery to show a young but mature couple who have been through life together, supported each other, and grown stronger through it all.
Their Florentine Gardens wedding was elegant and joyful, but it was also personal, thoughtful, and rooted in family. From the private first look and vows to the soft blue details, emotional family moments, and packed dance floor, every part of their day reflected who they are together.
Stephanie and Stephen, thank you for trusting us to capture such a meaningful chapter in your story. It was an honor to document your wedding day and preserve these memories for the years ahead.
