Branches Events Wedding in West Long Branch, NJ

Jose & Roxana

September 19, 2026 | West Long Branch, NJ | Weddings

Jose and Roxana's Branches Events wedding brought together a bilingual church ceremony in Long Branch, family portraits on the Jersey Shore and an elegant reception at Branches in West Long Branch, NJ, on September 19, 2026. MC Productions covered the day with photography and video, from getting ready at a family home to the last dance with 135 guests. Branches Events is a spacious, newly renovated Monmouth County venue just minutes from the beach, and this wedding shows how well it pairs a shore ceremony and beach portraits with a polished ballroom reception.

A Church Blessing for a Family Already Built

Jose and Roxana came to this day as a family. They are the parents of three young children, and what mattered most to them was asking the Church to bless their union. That shaped everything we photographed. The kids were part of the ceremony, carrying the rings and flowers, and both families, including cousins who came in from Maryland, were part of the day from the first portraits to the reception.

Getting Ready in Long Branch

Roxana got ready at a family home in Long Branch. Hair and makeup were already finished when we arrived, so the hour went to the details and the people: the flowers, rings, shoes, invitation and gown, then getting dressed and photos with everyone in the house. Her brother escorted her to the church.

Jose got ready nearby, surrounded by his mom, stepdad, brother and family. When hair and makeup are done before the photographer arrives, getting ready becomes the time for detail shots and family moments instead of waiting in the chair.

A Bilingual Ceremony at Our Lady Star of the Sea

The ceremony took place at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Long Branch, a short drive from the ocean. It was bilingual and mostly in Spanish. Our team works in both English and Spanish, so we followed the readings and blessings and knew which moments were coming before they happened. If you're planning a church ceremony, see how we covered a St. Joseph Church wedding in Mendham with a reception at Brooklake Country Club.

Our video team arrived an hour early to set up cameras and audio, so the vows and blessings are in the film in the couple's own words. After the ceremony, we turned Jose and Roxana back toward the altar for portraits beneath the rose window while family made their way out. Then everyone gathered on the church steps for the group photo, including a favorite of the day: the whole family covering their eyes while the couple kissed.

Long Branch Shore Wedding Photos at Pier Village and the Beach

From the church we went straight to the shore. The beach is one of the reasons couples choose a Monmouth County wedding. Long Branch, with its oceanfront and boardwalk, sits close to Deal, Rumson and Red Bank, and a celebration here has a polished, coastal feel that's hard to match inland.

We started at the boardwalk gazebo at Pier Village for the family and bridal party combinations, then moved down to the sand for the couple and their kids. Doing family groups at the beach put the ocean behind every photo and left the time at the venue free for couple portraits. Pier Village is also one of our favorite engagement photo locations in New Jersey.

Branches Events in West Long Branch: A Venue Made for Celebrations

Branches Events is on Monmouth Road in West Long Branch, about five minutes from Long Branch and easy to reach from the Garden State Parkway and Route 36. The venue is newly renovated, hosts up to 350 guests across several event spaces, and shares its building with The Squire, its restaurant and bar. For Jose and Roxana's 135 guests at 13 tables, the ballroom felt open and comfortable, with room for a full dance floor and for our photo and video team to move without crowding anyone.

The service stood out. The staff looked after the couple all evening and gave them a private room during cocktail hour, so they could eat, relax and have a few quiet minutes together before their entrance. That care shows in photos, too. A couple who has eaten and rested walks into the reception looking like they're enjoying their day, because they are.

Portraits in the Patio Garden at Branches

Before guests arrived, we photographed Jose and Roxana around the property, starting at the Branches sign out front. The patio garden is the highlight: a white tiered fountain surrounded by rose beds, brick-walled paths lined with boxwood, and string lights in the trees. It gives couples several different backdrops within a few steps of the ballroom, from wide garden portraits to close, romantic frames through the roses. We also photographed the ballroom fully set before the doors opened, with tall white floral centerpieces, sage runners and gold chairs at every table.

The Reception

Jose and Roxana were announced into the ballroom and went straight into their first dance, followed by a mother-son dance, a special dance with the sisters, and a prayer and toast. Before dinner, the couple visited every table so each family group has a photo with them.

After dinner came the bouquet and garter toss, a surprise dance for the groom and the cake cutting, then dancing for the rest of the night. Our video team covered the ceremony, the grand entrance, the first dances and the toast, and their wedding film is being edited now.

Photo and Video Tips for a Branches Events Wedding

Here's what we'd tell another couple planning a church ceremony, shore portraits and a reception at Branches:

  • Give yourself time between the ceremony and the reception. Jose and Roxana had about four hours between the end of the ceremony and cocktail hour, which covered church portraits, a full beach session and portraits at the venue. If your gap is shorter, plan at least two hours.
  • Do family groups at the beach. Combinations at the Pier Village gazebo get the ocean in the background and free up venue time for couple portraits by the fountain.
  • Plan for wind and sand. Bring clips or a veil weight and a pair of flats for walking on the beach.
  • Use the patio fountain before guests arrive. It's the best portrait spot on the property and easiest to use while the grounds are quiet.
  • Ask for a few private minutes during cocktail hour. Branches made this easy, and the couple came into the reception rested and ready.
  • Take table photos before dinner. With 13 tables, visiting each one before the meal gets every group photographed without interrupting the dancing later.
  • Plan audio for a bilingual ceremony. Our video team sets up early so the officiant and readers are recorded clearly in both languages.
