Your wedding lives in the trees.
You didn’t fall for a ballroom — you fell for fifty acres of forest and the light that comes down through it. That light rewards a team that already knows how to shoot it.

You didn’t fall for a ballroom — you fell for fifty acres of forest and the light that comes down through it. That light rewards a team that already knows how to shoot it.

Tucked into the Watchung Mountains, Forest Lodge leans natural, personal, and relaxed — not formal. For a photographer and videographer, that changes everything: the light, the way the day moves across the grounds, and the moments that happen after dark.

Most venues give you one look. Forest Lodge gives you bright, open woods in the afternoon, warm gold as the sun drops behind the tree line, and something genuinely rare after dinner.
We love it because it rewards planning. Know where to be and when, and the grove hands you images other couples never even find.
Two Very Different Rooms
The choice matters more than most couples realize — and knowing the trade-offs is exactly what you’re hiring an experienced team for.

The forest experience — open-air, tented, rustic-chic. Soft dappled light by day, dramatic string-lit trunks by night. We plan around the sun and the weather so you don’t have to.

A country-chic feel with chandeliers, steadier light, and more control — a good answer for cooler months or couples who want an indoor-outdoor mix.
The spots we plan your day around.

Dappled shade under a canopy is one of the hardest situations in wedding photography: patchy sun, deep shadows, uneven color. A team shooting it for the first time on your wedding day is learning on your dime.
We know where the clean pockets of shade are, we bring lighting for the grove, and we know how to keep your photos consistent from the ceremony to the last dance.
Forest Lodge is built for weather. The pavilion and tented spaces are large and designed to keep your day going without losing the setting — so an outdoor wedding here never means gambling on the forecast.
An outdoor venue spread across acreage is exactly where one team earns its keep. More ground to cover, trickier outdoor audio, constantly changing light.
Because our photographers and cinematographers work together, we’re never competing for the same shot or pulling you in two directions — one of us can lock the night portrait while the other stays on the reception.

This couple married at a beautiful church nearby, then came to Forest Lodge for portraits and a tented celebration under the trees. We covered getting-ready and the ceremony, moved with them to the grove for golden hour, kept the bridal party loose on the lawn, and came back out after dinner for portraits in the lit trees. A day across a church, a forest, and a tent — told as one seamless story.
The Maple Grove path, the tall tree colonnade, the fire-pit patio, the lawn with its evergreen backdrops, and — our favorite — the string-lit trees for night portraits.
Soft, even light works best in the grove, and golden hour just before sunset is the standout window. We build your timeline around it.
Absolutely — it only takes about ten minutes away from the reception and it’s one of the most memorable images of the day.
Yes. Many Forest Lodge couples marry at a nearby church first. We cover getting-ready and the ceremony, then move with you to the grove for portraits and the reception.
The grounds — the tree colonnade and fire pit especially — make a great engagement location, and it’s a smart way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding.
Rain does not have to stop us, we can get clear umbrellas and if your willing so are we, we can also focus on your reception area and take photos there in case of inclement weather.
